Make Dim Sum Siomay Fish


Siomai is one type of dim sum. In Mandarin, this food is called shaomai, while in Cantonese it is called siu maai. In the Beijing dialect, this food is also written as, and also read shaomai. The skin of siomai is similar to dumpling skin. This food is said to come from Inner Mongolia.

In Indonesian cuisine there are various types of siomai variations based on meat for the content, ranging from mackerel fish siomai, chicken, shrimp, crab, or a mixture of chicken and shrimp. Materials for the contents mixed with sago or tapioca. In some areas, the siomai is not always wrapped in the skin of flour (dumpling skin).
