Martabak (Arabic: مطبق, meaning "folded") is a dish commonly found in Saudi Arabia (especially in the Hijaz region), Yemen, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. Depending on the location, name, and composition of martabak may vary.

In Indonesia there are two types of martabak, namely salted martabak / egg made from a mixture of eggs and meat and sweet martabak (moon cake) are usually filled with chocolate. Unlike the egg martabak, sweet martabak is a kind of cake or jam sandwich that is usually eaten in a relaxed time as a snack. In Malaysia, sweet martabak (known as Reverse Flame) is often served as a breakfast dish accompanied by a glass of tea pull.

MAKE MARTABAK SWEET
SIMPLE AND TASTY


Material :
250 gram versatile flour
30 grams of sugar
1 egg
400 ml of liquid milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
Butter / margarine for spread.

Content of Martabak:
Sweetened condensed milk to taste
Meses brown to taste
Cream cheese spead / grated Cheddar cheese to taste
Peanut butter, straweberry, according to your taste



Steps to Make Sweet Martabak
Add the flour, sugar, eggs, liquid milk, and salt into a large bowl. Then stir well until using a spatula, may be filtered until the dough does not clot.

Next, leave the dough for 1 hour at room temperature.

Prepare a nonstick flat pan or a Teflon skillet up to you. Meanwhile, mix the baking soda with a little water, then put into the dough and mix well.

Pour about 2-3 spoonfuls of vegetable dough into a skillet. Then flatten the dough while shaken.

Sprinkle a little sugar, then cover the pan and bake it on low heat until the dough appears to be porous and dry. You should use a wok cap made of translucent glass, so you can know martabak maturity.

If the martabak is ripe, remove the martabak from the frying pan and place it on the cork. Then spread the top of martabak with butter / margarine.

Then add sweetened condensed milk to taste. Then sprinkle with prepared ingredients, such as chocolate meses, grated cheese or jam.
